SDC233: Use Squares

Hello and welcome back to another week at Stampotique. I hope you're all enjoying the sneak peeks of the new stamps on the Facebook group. We are sharing some teaser posts.
If your not yet a member of our Facebook group be sure to join to get some sneak peeks of March's new release
For now, it's time for another challenge. This week Corrie is our hostess and her challenge is all about Squares, "Use Squares in any form or material on your project"
Here is what Corrie says about this challenge:
"I am very fond of circles in my work, so I want to get outside my comfort zone and use squares for a change and I would like you to join me. Have Fun!!"

Let's "think outside the box" this week and use some squares!!
(ha, I thought that was funny)

This is Carol Fox's last week as our "Spotlight" designer, thanks so much Carol for all the fun facts and for enlightening us on some things about you. It's been so fun.
Here are Carol's last few fun facts about herself:
1. I was going to share my favourite Stampotique stamp but as I sat here and looked at them I realised it's like trying to choose your favourite child to save from a fire. I do love Daniel's Winter, but then what about Twinkie and I can hear Frankie Sobbing as his not being included. So I can only say I love them all!!
2. I love bright colours, I used to craft in browns and vintage colours, but then I just suddenly changed and it all went pink and orange. I think like is better seen in bright colours, it lifts your soul.
3. When I start a project I always start with colour and then choose my images to use and fit it around the theme for the current challenge.

Samantha's top 3 from last week's Spots and Stripes challenge were:

Silvia her Agatha tag is adorable!
Lisette so funny and beautifully made.
Wendy so sweet!

"I love anything spotty or with stripes and I also love stripes but the two can be difficult to combine. So my challenge for you this week is to use Spots and Stripes together in your creations, Have fun"

We also have some more wonderful fun facts about our spotlight designer Carol Fox:

1. My favourite magazine for inspiration is Cloth, paper, scissors

SDC231: Love Is In The Air

Hello and welcome back to another fabulous challenge over here at Stampotique. This week Coby vanWilligenburg is our hostess and since Valentine's Day is right around the corner she is challenging us to "Love Is In The Air" here is what Coby says about this challenge:

"Love is so sweet and so tender...love is more than a boy than a boy and a girl.....love are my children, my grandchildren and animals... show in your creation this week, Love"
There you have it, it's all about Love this week.

We also have some fun facts about our Spotlight Designer: Carol Fox

1. Having recently seen the film The Martian, I now realised my insistence that Tomato Ketchup improves any meal is not as bad as everyone has always told me it is. If Matt Damon can do it so can I!!
2. When stuck for inspiration my favorite place to trawl is Pinterest, the problem is I get so carried away I forget why I went there in the first place.
3. I have three favorite craft items, rubber stamps, rubber stamps and Ohh rubber stamps.

What are your favorite craft items??

SDC230: Mardi Gras

Welcome back to the blog today and another fun challenge here at Stampotique. Can you believe it's February already??!! WOW!

Our Host for the challenge this week is Kathi and she is challenging us to "Mardi Gras"
Here is what Kathi says about this challenge:
"The colors of Mardi Gras are purple, green and gold... use them or the symbols of Mardi Gras - Fluer de lys, masks, costumes or music!! Let the good times roll"

We are also doing something new at Stampotique, we have several wonderful designers on our design team and we want to feature them so that you can get to know them better.  We are calling this our "Spotlight" designer.
For the month of February our Spotlight designer is Carol Fox, she will be participating in each challenge and also telling us something new about herself each time.

My Name is Carol Fox and I have been part of the Stampotique Design team since 2012. I live in the UK on the East Coast in a little Seaside Town. One of my earliest most vivid memories is saying to my mum that one day that I would like to live by the seaside, (I grew up in London) so I feel blessed and lucky to live where I do and in the summer with the windows open it is lovely to wake and hear the sea.

I have crafted in one form or another since I was tiny but I started out on my paper crafting journey 10 years ago, I soon discovered the delights of rubber stamping and then of course Stampotique, I can still remember the first ever Stampotique Stamp I got, she was the lovely Perl who I still really enjoy using .

I craft in varied styles it really depends on the mood I am in at the time, but so long as I can get a stamp on it I am happy, ohh and paint, I love paint.

I contribute to a couple of UK Magazines and I teach Art Journaling to a private craft group once a month. My blog can be found Here http://www.gingernonutsbits.blogspot.co.uk/
